Creating a guitar is an act of love for luthier, Richard Aubut. Every instrument is unique, just as the hands of the musician who plays it.

Richard Aubut is from Matane, Quebec, Canada.  He began his profession since 1979.  Richard made his first guitar at the age of 14 years old, and later worked with his father in their workshop.  In 1984, he graduated from Douglas College New-Westminister Vancouver, B.C., learning the skills of guitar-making from maestro Michael Dunn.

Richard has more than 30 years of experience in guitar-making and guitar-repair. His expertise lies in acoustic, classical and electric guitar. He also specializes in tremolo adjustments, electric systems, painting (sunbursts and natural lacquer), repairing broken heads, cracks, fret jobs, bone-saddle, amongst others.
